The code I used:

toolset = ComposioToolSet(entity_id="default")

listener = toolset.create_trigger_listener()

@listener.callback(filters={'trigger_name': Trigger.GMAIL_NEW_GMAIL_MESSAGE})
def callback_function(event):
    payload = event.payload
    ....

It's basically just:

def callback_function(event):

I actually moved away from using the tool and just callign the action directly because of the issues I was facing
